My style is interactive and reflective, with emphasis on client and therapist working together to achieve the client's goals. I do cognitive therapy, along with mindfulness practices. I am trained in dialectical behavior therapy, and use these skills with many of my clients where appropriate.

I use techniques such as journaling, mindfulness practices, inner dialog work, and communication skills work. I also use some biofeedback techniques to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.

I encourage balance in all aspects of living, including nutrition, exercise, finances, social life and spiritual life.

I work with individuals, couples and some families, when children are over the age of fifteen. I especially enjoy working with lesbian individuals and couples, and with young adults in their twenties.

Particular areas of expertise include: Depression, Anxiety, Communication Skills, Alcohol and Chemical Dependency, Grief and Loss, Exploration and Development of Spiritual Self, and Life Transitions.
